So you have 2 problems, one – can’t Sysprep any more and probably you can’t re-arm your machine (it wont let you Sysprep if you can’t re-arm.). i've never had a problem once that happens. smsts.log showed sysprep had failed. Some websites list off a load of registry settings to reset which I have tried without any success as I just get the same error again. I wasnt aware of the 2 log files that sysprep creates so thanks for that - I shall take a look and see what they say.

We typically lay down a patched gold image (1511 Enterprise chosen over Education) and then install the apps via Application or Package deployment via Ninite.

Use the above described method in building the Windows Vista image from scratch each time by using a task sequence. I'm all out of ideas now so, help!
